Regular dental care is essential for a horse's comfort and longevity.

A horse's mouth changes throughout its life, so annual treatment is important. Sharp points and uneven wear can cause problems not initially thought to be tooth-related; weight loss, decreased performance, or poor behavior.

With proper dental care, your horse will be more comfortable, use feed more efficiently, perform better, and live longer.

Equine podiatrist

Equine podiatrists are highly trained barefoot hoof care specialists who work closely with owners to achieve the healthiest hooves possible for their horses (See video).

The approach is somewhat different than traditional farriership: owners are educated to understand how different factors influence hoof health, helped develop hoof-friendly management practices, and provided close support and guidance as the horse's hooves change.

Farrier.

It would be desirable for horses to be able to go barefoot all the time, but this is sometimes impractical and/or impossible.

In the wild, a horse with hooves that were too short would be sore and move less until they grew out. But we ask our horses to work harder than their hooves can handle. Also, horses don't always have ideal hooves: some have cracks, weak walls, or are recovering from an injury.

However, all horses will benefit from some time without shoes.

Transportation.

Horses often need to be transported, for veterinary care, to an event or to another location.

Those who handle and transport horses must have the appropriate training and knowledge to ensure the horse's well-being. They must know how to respond in the event of an emergency.

And the necessary paperwork for transport must always be taken into account; basically the documentation for the horse, the vehicle and its driver and the transport guide.

Terapias alternativas en caballos.

Please contact us without obligation if you need help from any other professional, such as trainers, ethologists or alternative therapists.

Complementary therapies, such as chiropractic, acupuncture, osteopathy, homeopathy, massages and several others, called "alternative" and rejected for lack of scientific support, are rapidly gaining ground in the world of horses as true complements (not substitutes) for traditional veterinary medicine.
